GENERAL SCHEDULE
SOIL MICROMORPHOLOGY COURSE – August 29 – September 3, 2022 (from Monday to Saturday) (optional)
THE CONFERENCE – September 4–8, 2022:
- September 4 (Sunday) – registration at the conference venue (in the afternoon) and ice-breaking party, Institute of Geography and Spatial Management, Jagiellonian University
- September 5 (Monday) – registration, opening session, plenary sessions, poster session 1, afternoon: Old Town guided walking
- September 6 (Tuesday) – Plenary sessions, poster session 2, IUSS Business Meeting, Banquet
- September 7 (Wednesday) – Mid-conference trip (genesis and functioning of loess soils in Kraków and its close vicinity, visit in the Soil Museum)
- September 8 (Thursday) – Plenary sessions, summary and closing ceremony
POST-CONFERENCE TRIP – September 9–11, 2022 (from Friday to Sunday) (optional)
Route: Kraków – Sandomierz – Kielce – Kraków Polish Upland tour with emphasis to micromorphology of: soils developed from loess, gypsum and carbonate rocks; paleosols in Quaternary sequences; fossil Lower Jurassic Podzols; Technosols in metal mining areas.
