I regret to inform you that we have to cancel organization of the 16th International Conference on Soil Micromorphology and the Soil Micromorphology course in Kraków (Poland) due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the uncertainty of the geopolitical situation in Central Europe in the near future.
We tried to organize the meeting in 2020, however it was impossible due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, aggression of Russia in Ukraine forced us to make this difficult decision to cancel the organization of the conference in Poland.
I would like to thank all the people who were involved in the organization of the ICoSM in Poland. Many thanks for the whole organizing committee. I also would like to thank people who put their hope in us and gave us the chance to organize the conference in Poland. And also many thanks to all who expected to visit Poland in the framework of the 16th ICoSM. This time it is not possible. We will see what the future brings.
